Dr. Looney will be retiring on Dec 31,2021
Dear Patients and Families,
It has been a long and wondrous journey. I have had the honor and privilege of caring for so many patients over the years. I have watched children become adults, some even parents, stood with families during times of unbearable sorrow, shared the joys of a newborn, and was enthralled by your triumphs. I have always believed that I have had the best job in the Capital District.
Delmar Pediatrics has been my life’s work, including running the practice for 20 years. As an independent group, we have been able to formulate our own policies and procedures based upon our own research and evaluations. And thanks to the hard work and dedication of our doctors, nurse practitioner, managers, receptionists, and nurses, we have built a practice where we strive to provide the best care for our patients.
But now it is time to move on. I would like to spend more time with family and become more involved in volunteer work. Therefore, I will be retiring from practice on December 31, 2021.
Dr. Brand, who will become the new managing partner, and I have been working together to accomplish a smooth transition. To our present group of providers, we have added a new physician, one we have carefully chosen, to continue the care of my patients, and to begin to develop his own. My colleagues are dedicated to maintaining our standards of excellence into the future.
With retirement, I will miss so many aspects of my daily medical practice. My heart is overflowing with so many memories from each and every one of you. Thank you so much for all you have given me during our years together. Good luck and God bless.
Dr. Michael Looney
