Latest Practice Updates:
The 2023-24 flu season has ended.
+ We will administer the 2024-25 flu vaccine when it is available in the Fall, around September.
+ Everyone six months of age and older may receive flu vaccines.
Delmar Pediatrics administers Pfizer Covid vaccines.
+ Updated 2024 Covid vaccines are being evaluated by the FDA and CDC. At this time, Fall 2023 Covid vaccines are unavailable.
+ We will continue to provide Pfizer Covid vaccines, and will resume vaccinating, when the updated product becomes available.
+ We have been administering Covid vaccines since they were first available. We recommend Covid vaccines for all eligible patients.
RSV update:
+ RSV antibody is approved as a single dose injection for all infants younger than 8 months old.
+ Infants whose mothers received RSV vaccine before the last two weeks of the pregnancy are protected by maternal antibodies and are not eligible for this injection.
+ Data show it prevents hospitalizations from RSV infection by 90%!
+ The peak RSV season has passed. We will offer this again to eligible patients, during the next RSV season, in the Fall.
