Covid vaccines are now authorized for children six months of age and older.

Delmar Pediatrics has pre-ordered Pfizer vaccine for our newly eligible patients. The Pfizer schedule for children in this age group is a three-dose series. The second dose is given three weeks after the first. The third dose is given eight weeks after the second dose.

We will schedule patients in the age group once we have the vaccine in hand. We hope to start vaccinating this week.

We are excited that this youngest group of patients will now be able to be vaccinated against Covid. We will do our best to meet the demand and to vaccinate as many patients as soon as possible.

Until now, the Pfizer vaccine has been the only vaccine authorized for children. Our practice has been administering Covid vaccines to all eligible patients since the beginning. Although Moderna was also recently authorized by the FDA for the youngest age group as a two-dose vaccine series, our practice at present will only offer the Pfizer vaccine.

We will be receiving a shipment of Covid-19 Pfizer vaccine on Wednesday, May 26th. This vaccine can be administered to anyone 12 years and older. We will be administering the vaccine on specific days, please call our office to schedule an appointment.

We still have Moderna Vaccine doses available for our patients over 18 years of age. See our prior notice about scheduling an appointment.

The big news for us is that we just received and installed our own ultra cold freezer at Delmar Pediatrics. This means we will soon be able to administer Pfizer Covid vaccine to our patients 12 and up. This is very exciting news for us and our patients!

We will be ordering Pfizer Vaccine each week, but we do not know when we will receive any shipments. We have no control over distribution of vaccine. Therefore, we cannot pre book any patients until we have been notified that we will be receiving our allotment.

As soon as we receive confirmation of our Pfizer Vaccine shipment, we will begin scheduling for our patients to receive their dose.

We received a shipment of Covid 19 Moderna vaccine from the NYS Dept of Health. This vaccine can be administered to anyone 18 years and older. We will be administering this vaccine on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 PM until 4:45 PM. Please call our office to schedule an appointment.

After you schedule your appointment with our office, you will need to complete a Covid 19 Vaccine Form online. Please click the attached link to complete the form https://forms.ny.gov/s3/vaccine. This form will need to be shown at your appointment time. You may either save it to your cell phone or print the form.

After your first Covid 19 vaccine, you will be given an appointment to return to our office for your second vaccine.
